The Acting Managing Director of Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Professor Kemebradikumo Pondei and his team walked out on the House of Representatives Committee on NDDC on Thursday.
He said he and the team were not ready for any presentation before the committee.
Pondei had abjected to presiding Chairman of the Committee, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, over the investigative hearing.
Members of the Committee include Ben Ibakpa, Benjamin Kali, and Shehu Koko. They told the Acting MD that he is constitutionally bound to answer their queries since there was no document before them.
While the members were still contributing to the issue, the Acting MD sought permission to leave and before his request was accepted or rejected, walked out.
Furious members of the Committee accused the Acting MD of the Interim Management Committee of trying to thwart legislative functions and ordered that a warrant of arrest be issued against him.
The Committee also passed a vote of confidence on its Chairman unanimously.
