Fahim Saleh, the 33-year old co-founder of ride-hailing service, Gokada was found dead at his apartment in New York City. The technology entrepreneur’s body dismembered body was found in his luxury condominium building according to New York Times report. The police also discovered his torso and the electric saw used to mutilate his body nearby.
His sister was reported as the first person to notice the body at around 3:30 p.m. when she paid a visit because she hadn’t heard from him for a day. The national newspaper also reported that there were several large plastic bags at the crime scene, purportedly intended for packing the dismembered body. New York Times reported that “The police did not immediately identify the man, but several friends who spoke on the condition of anonymity said he was Fahim Saleh, a 33-year-old technology entrepreneur and the owner of the condo where the body was found.”
His company, Gokada, was among the motorbike hailing service negatively affected by the Lagos State ban of Okada and tricycles on certain routes and bridges in 15 of the 20 Local Government Areas of the state.
The motive behind his murder is yet to be known.
